No Worries.
No Tool Junkies Allowed
A few things real quick:
- Been there. "Yep, I was completely neurotic. My addiction was artist supplies. I paid 60 dollars for a brush I only used one time because I spent an hour and a half cleaning it. That's when I knew I had a problem. I finally curbed my addiction which led me to concentrate on just the bare necessities. Today I'm a lean, mean painting machine and I can teach you how to be the same!"
- Done that. "Rented a full blown Artist atelier in Paris. 'Oo-la-la look at me!' Shared it with an Abstract Expressionist and almost strangled her. What's with this slob factor intertwined with an 'I'm so oppressed I can't pick up after myself' motif which gives way to an 'OMG you just dripped coffee on my vomit painting and like RUINED it!' thing? Today, I where a suit when I paint. And when it comes The Classical Artist Painting Method I wipe my feet before I approach the canvas."
Good To Go
Here's the idea. We'll use the CAPM(x) formula to help us curate some amazing photos which tell the story you want to tell. We'll use the 'Problem Pyramid' to make sure our investment in time and effort is well spent.
Images cropped to fit a standard canvas dimensions will be stored in a digital presentation program that will help us paint and we are good to go. The instant a free moment arrives we can reach down and pull out our Art Studio in a Box and lay it on our desk with canvas already attached. We bring up the photo we've chosen on the computer screen, open the drawer of our Desktop Studio, grab our tones, colors and brushes and just like that we are painting like an Old Master. |
